That day I could not follow Tintoretto quietly (tranquilly) until the end. The sea was too strong. It had taken everything away: the luster of the shore and the countryside in the background. There was nothing left but Christ, standing up, facing our overturned, churning weaknesses in the terrible black and white of our distresses.The hurricane, Faith, And the diagonals of “Stormy Tintoretto” (The rest is for the eye).
